Greetings from Alaska,

I live in beautiful southeast Alaska and it gets a little lonely up here sometimes. Would be nice to chat with any women for friendship but it would be nice to meet someone in their early 50's like me for possible relationship after friendship is established. I find that to be a good foundation to build on. Oh yeah, I'm a carpenter, painter, handy-woman type of person with my own remodeling business. I'm artsy creative and musically inclined to play my guitar around a campfire at times. I have a very large Malmute dog and a siamese cat and live in a cabin in the woods. My heart sometimes gets me into trouble so I'm more careful about giving it away than when I was younger. But have achieved an amount of happiness on my own alone. Hello out there...

Hi, I would really like to make friends with some lovely (as in open-minded, friendly, etc.) ladies who are lesbians. It doesn't matter if you are out or not. I gave up work last year and went back to college. i am working on becoming a teacher, preferably an english teacher. Once I get my AA, TKT and CELTA I would love to go work somewhere exotic and Asian like China or Thailand. It's part of a 360 degree change in lifestyle, in every meaning of the word. I have always known that I was a lesbian, or rather, suspected it, but with the culture in this country it wasn't something I ever actively pursued. The passing of the years and experience has told me that I can never be truly happy unless I accept who I am. Once I am qualified and working overseas, hopefully this will happen by the fall of 2010, I believe (and hope) that I can live my life as the real me. I hope that someone out there on this site will like to make friends with a late-blooming, lonely 31 year old from sri lanka.
PS: I managed to gain quite a bit of weight over the past year or two due to being depressed and unsure about life, but now that things are looking up I have started slowly losing the weight. Please don't judge me harshly because of the way I look

A Call for Friendship
